One of the greatest lies that has crippled destinies is the belief that “there is still time.” This is the deception of tomorrow. Many keep postponing obedience, discipline, vision, and purpose, thinking tomorrow will be more convenient. But tomorrow is not promised; it is only a hope, not a guarantee.
The Bible warns in Proverbs 27:1 – “Boast not thyself of tomorrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth.” Every delay in fulfilling purpose is a silent agreement with failure. Satan does not always stop people by outright destruction—sometimes he only whispers, “Relax, you can do it later.”
The Dangers of Tomorrow’s Deception
1. Lost opportunities – Windows of favor are time-bound; when ignored, they rarely reopen.
2. Weakened resolve – What you postpone repeatedly, you eventually abandon.
3. A life of regret – The elderly often regret not the mistakes they made, but the chances they never took.
4. Spiritual decline – Delayed obedience is disobedience before God.
THE WISDOM OF TODAY.
Paul wrote in 2 Corinthians 6:2 – “Now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.” Impact is made by those who take action today. The future is only guaranteed for those who maximize the present.
